The watch is made from a 18ct white gold and boasts every quality you would come to expect from one of the luxury brand’s most iconic pieces; the perpetual, mechanical GMT function, Oyster architecture in its casing and bracelet, and a 3285 Rolex Calibre. The real show stopper, however is the model’s dial. The ‘iron meterorites’ that are incorporated into the dial have metallic material that has been taken from an asteroid. During a meteorites journey, it is said that the mass of it transforms and produces unique patterns as it cools, which is impossible to recreate on Earth. Panerai Luna Rossa
America’s Cup is the oldest sports competition in the modern world and one of the more advanced. Panerai will be the Official Sponsor of Luna Rossa, the Challenger of Record team in the 36th edition of the America’s Cup. The Panerai Luna Rossa was created in homage of this, and worn bythe Luna Rossa Sailing Team. The commemorate this, on the titanium back of the watch, you will find an engraved Luna Rossa logo, and the Cup profile. Additionally, the dark grey dial is covered with the sail cloth of the competition boat. While this is all special in itself, it is not the only unique feature you will find on this model. The 44mm case is made from a robust titanium with a diamond-like coating, an features an automatic mechanical P.9010/GMT calibre, executed entirely by Panerai, as well as a 3 day power reserve and an Incabloc® anti-shock device. Santos De Cartier
The Santos de Cartier is a magnificent timepiece that is beloved by many a watch collector. Its aesthetic combines the traditional and contemporary, making it suitable for several different types of occasions. The 39.8mm case is made from both polished and satin-brushed steel. The accompanying steel bracelet features both Cartier’s ‘QuickSwitch’ interchangeability system, and their ‘SmartLink’ adjustment system, the former being an innovative and easy way to adjust the size of the strap using a spring loaded trigger that fits into the casing, and the latter being links featuring a button on the reverse side allowing the wearer to remove the bar pins that cleverly hold the links in place. If this was not impressive enough, Cartier uses innovative technology in their manufacturing to achieve a beautiful smokey blue gradiant dial using a special technique that features a graduated tone that darkens towards the edges of the dial. .
