Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled a bevy of dazzling new timepieces in its enduring Rendez-Vous collection this year, championing both femininity and the precision watchmaking for which the maison is renowned. The detail in these pieces is stunning and we predict they’ll be hugely popular among our female watch lovers this year.
Each new model in the Rendez-Vous line showcases Jaeger-LeCoultre’s exceptional know-how in fine jewellery watchmaking. Of particular note is the new prong setting the house has added to the design, allowing the diamonds to truly shine, and the reimagining of its romantic moon-phase complication.
We love this 36mm Rendez-Vous Moon Jewellery model in 18-carat white gold (ref Q3523570). Beneath its stunning mother-of-pearl dial ticks the automatic calibre 925B/1, which powers the moon-phase complication at 6 o’clock. Look closely and you can admire the moon phase’s starry sky, exquisitely crafted in midnight-blue aventurine. The stand-out feature of this watch, though, is the aforementioned prong setting deployed on the two rows of shimmering brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel – 126 in an outer ring and a second, inner line of smaller gems. A further 47 diamonds form a sparkling ring in the middle of the dial and, for good measure, the brand has added a dozen more on the lugs and a single stone on the inverted cabochon crown. This beautiful jewellery watch, pictured, will be available at Mappin & Webb in the UK (£45,000) and in our Watches of Switzerland store in New York later this year ($50,000).
We are also big fans of the new Reverso models for women, especially this Reverso Tribute Duoface with a gorgeous blue dial on the front and a white dial on the reverse, which is set on a blue leather strap made by the Argentine bootmaker and leather master Casa Fagliano. It’ll be available at Watches of Switzerland showrooms in the UK (£9,350).
